New Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has extended his support to India. He said on Thursday that Pakistan has stood ready to provide humanitarian assistance to flood victims Kerala. Imran tweeted, "On behalf of the people of Pakistan we pray for people affected by floods in Kerala. We are willing to give any kind of humanitarian help."

More than 230 people have died due to heavy rains since August 8 in Kerala. The homes of more than 1 million people have been destroyed and they are living in refugee camps. Talking about the loss of property, so much has been lost. About Rs, 30,000 crores of the economy have been damaged.

Earlier, UAE PM and Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum had offered assistance of Rs 700 crore. He wrote three tweets while writing about the situation. In his first tweet, he mentioned that Kerala had an important role in the development of the UAE. In the second and third tweets, they offered every possible help to the people of Kerala.

PM Narendra Modi and CM Pinarai Vijayan of Kerala have also praised it through Twitter. Modi thanked their offer and said that this concern of them shows how good relations between India and UAE are. However, there is no change in India's policy of not taking foreign financial assistance. So, many leaders and people have criticized this move. But, there are some reasons why India can not accept foreign aid.
