Pak starts visa process for Kartarpur Sahib, Nagar Kirtan will start from October 28

Islamabad: The Pakistan embassy has started issuing VISAs to Indian Sikh pilgrims who want to attend the Nagar Kirtan from October 28 for Kartarpur Sahib. This Nagar Kirtan will start from Delhi on October 28 and will reach Gurdwara Nankana Sahib on October 31. Upon reaching the Wagah border in Pakistan, the Nagar kirtan will be welcomed by Pakistan Punjab CM Osman Bujdar, Punjab Governor Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri and a group of other federal and provincial ministers.

This has been confirmed by Paramjit Singh Sarna, former chairman of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. With this, Pakistan has started the process of issuing VISAs for Nagar kirtans. VISAs will be issued to some 1500 Sikh devotees for this Nagar kirtan. Most of the process for the visa has been completed. According to Sarna, the government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee had given him permission for the Nagar kirtan in the year 2018.

His two delegations will visit Pakistan before Nagar kirtan. The first delegation will visit Pakistan on 20 September and the second on 2 October. The delegations will be given a one-week visa. Sikh devotees will be given visas from October 31 to November 14.
