Islamabad: Pakistan's Higher Education Commission (HEC) has offered scholarships to nearly 3,000 Afghan students under the four-year programme. Officials have given information in this regard on Saturday. According to the news agency Xinhua, Paradise Ashik Ewan, PM's special assistant for information and broadcasting affairs, said that the scholarships will be provided in phases and students of different categories will benefit from the program every year.

Ewan said Afghan students, who are competent and interested in advancing their academic careers, are invited to pursue higher education in different institutions in Pakistan in various fields including medicine, engineering, agriculture and management and computer science. is being done.

This was announced after Afghan President Ashraf Ghani completed a two-day state visit to Pakistan on Friday. According to Ewan, under the scholarship program, a total of 600 students will be admitted to various medical and dental colleges, while 600 students will be admitted to different engineering universities.
