New Delhi: After the strong demand of Indian to release Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, Pakistan PM Imran Khan announced that the pilot would be released on Friday in what he termed was his country's 'peace gesture.'

Pakistan had called for dialogue with India but has failed to address the primary and grave concern of terrorism on its soil. The government has maintained that Pakistan has not acted effectively against terrorist organisations which have repeatedly targeted India.

The tension between India and Pakistan have been increased since the Pulwama Terror attack in which more than 40 CRPF Jawans were killed.
