Srinagar: Once again Pakistan has violated the ceasefire near LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Firing is being done from Pakistan on Thursday morning at 11.30 am in Shahpur, Kearny and town located near LoC in Poonch district. In the meantime, ceasefire and mortars were also fired near the Line of Control. The Indian Army is giving a befitting reply.

Earlier the Pakistani Army had violated the ceasefire at around 4 pm on Wednesday. After this, on Thursday morning, once again violating the cannon shelled near the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. This is the first time cannons have been used to target forward posts and villages around the LoC. The spokesman said, "On Thursday morning at 11.30 am, the Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire without provocation by raiding shells near Shahpur and Kearny sector of Poonch district."

The case of breaking the ceasefire by Pakistan came when the Citizenship Amendment Bill has been passed in the Indian Parliament. The bill provides for citizenship of people of minority Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Christian and Parsi communities of Bangladesh and Afghanistan along with Pakistan. On the other hand, Pakistan has also passed a resolution opposing this bill.
