Pakistan again violets cease fire in Jammu and Kashmir, 1 soldier martyred

Srinagar: In Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has once again committed nefarious act. The ceasefire was again violated by the Pakistan side in Machil sector of Kupwara on Saturday morning. An Indian Army jawan was killed in the cross-border firing. The martyred jawan has been identified as Lance Naik Rajendra Singh of 57 RR.

On the one hand, there has been a ceasefire violation by the Pakistan side in Kupwara. On the other hand, the encounter between the Indian Army and the militants is going on in Shopia. On Saturday, an encounter between militants and security forces is going on in Shapaiya district of the valley. Two terrorists have been reportedly killed in the counter-insurgency operation so far. The identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.

According to information, 2 to 3 terrorists were reported to be holed up in Bona Bazar area of Shopian in South Kashmir. Security forces cordoned off the area. Police said, acting on a tip off about the presence of militants, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Bonbazar area of Shopian city on Saturday morning. The encounter broke out after the encounter broke out.
