ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will visit Iran from June 14 to 15, by the invitation of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Pakistani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Zardari will hold a detailed exchange of ideas with his Iranian counterpart on all areas of common interest during his official visit to Tehran, the ministry said in a statement, adding that the visit is part of regular high-level contacts between the two nation.
Pakistani Foreign Ministry said, the Foreign Minister will meet with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and other authorities. The two sides will discuss all aspects of bilateral relations during the delegation-level talks, including trade and economic links, electricity supply from Iran, border sustenance markets, road and rail connectivity, and pilgrim facilitation, it said..
Both parties will also assess the security situation in the area, with a special focus on developments in Afghanistan and South Asia. Pakistan and Iran have strong cooperative ties based on similar geography, cultural affinities, and historic people-to-people ties, the ministry said.
"Frequent high-level encounters have further reinforced these brotherly bonds," the ministry added.
