Outsider from Pakistan who lived in India on a long term visa soon will be allowed to buy property because individuals belonging to minority communities from Pakistan get a Aadhaar cards and even open bank accounts.

According to a Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) notification, “the government is also considering a proposal to reduce the fees for registration as citizens of India from Rs 15,000 to Rs 100. The proposal also includes simplifying the procedures to grant Indian citizenship to such individuals”

MHA said in a notification,“The central government has been constantly reviewing the hardships being faced by the minority communities in Pakistan staying in India on LTV (Long Term Visa). To ease some of their difficulties, it is proposed to provide the facilities,”

As per the sources said, “such individuals staying in close to 400 colonies across various cities in the country have been facing numerous challenges such as restrictions on movement and financial problems among others”

The concessions will also include allowing travel within the state or union territory of stay, and permission to transfer visa papers to another state or union territory.
