Pakistani wrestlers will come here to participate in the Asian Wrestling Championships to be held from 18 to 23 February. The Indian Foreign Ministry has given visas to 6 Pakistani wrestlers. Pakistan wrestlers Sohail Rashid, Muhammad Riaz, Tayab Raza, Rahman Abdul, Jaman Anwar, and Muhammad Bilal have got visas.

A source in the Indian Wrestling Federation has said that our country's relationship with Pakistan is not good, but the government had to give a visa to fulfill the Olympic Charter. The matches of these wrestlers will be held on 21 February in the championship. This team will come to India on 20 February but now Pakistan has to decide whether to send them or not. Earlier, India's kabaddi players also reached Pakistan, on which a lot of controversy had arisen. The last time Pakistan played in this championship was in Delhi in 1991. Then he was at the bottom of the ninth position with a silver medal. However, the World Wrestling Association of UWW and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) are under pressure from the WFI to grant visas to Chinese wrestlers and could be banned if they did not do so.

The matches of the Chinese wrestlers will start from February 18 and the situation has not been cleared yet on their visas due to Coronavirus. The source also said that the WFI has not yet cleared the situation of the arrival of Chinese wrestlers to other countries, due to which Turkmenistan decided to withdraw from the championship. Due to Coronavirus, Chinese players will have difficulty in getting a visa for India. Some other Asian players will also not come to India due to Coronavirus.
