Pakistan: Pakistan's Ayesha Naseem, who Wasim Akram had referred to as having "serious talent," has apparently opted to retire from international cricket at an early age.

Ayesha, a promising young cricketer for Pakistan, has declared her retirement from international competition at the age of 18. To confirm her retirement, the 18-year-old contacted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Ayesha played for the Green Army in the T20 World Cup last year in an effort to get experience for the Pakistani white-ball cricket team. Ayesha participated in 30 T20 Internationals and four One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the Pakistani women's side.

She improved her reputation in the cricketing community with her notable cameo against the strong Australian team. The former Pakistani great hit four sixes and a four, totaling 24 from 20 balls.

According to numerous sources, Naseem decided to leave the world of international cricket in order to conduct her life in accordance with Islam. Naseem informed PCB,  "I'm leaving cricket and want to live my life according to Islam,"  Ayesha's worldwide debut in 2020 was only three years ago. In 34 international outings for the Green Army, she has amassed more than 400 runs.

For Pakistan, Ayesha scored 33 runs in 4 ODIs. She scored 369 runs for Pakistan in the game's shortest format. In the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, she faced Thailand in her debut international game.

Ayesha made her last Pakistani appearance against Australia in 2023. In her final game for Pakistan, Naseem faced Australia and went three balls without scoring.

Next month, South Africa women will play three T20I matches at Asian dominant Pakistan.
