Islamabad: The war of words between Pakistan and Afghanistan continues. Pakistan's National Security Advisor (NSA) Dr. Moid Yusuf said Kabul was being embarrassed every day by the "silly statements" of its senior officials. This is spoiling bilateral relations. Earlier, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani had slammed Pakistan for instigating the Taliban, a terror group.

Ashraf Ghani had said that last month Pakistan sent 10,000 "jihadist" fighters to Afghanistan. While the Imran Khan-led Pakistan government has failed to persuade the Taliban to "seriously negotiate" the ongoing peace talks. Pakistan PM Imran Khan went to Bifer and said Pakistan has suffered the most from the unrest in Afghanistan. Pakistan is now baffled by Afghanistan's first vice president Amrullah Saleh's taunt.

Pakistan NSA Dr. Moid Yusuf said on Thursday that Islamabad is committed to peace in Afghan and the senseless statement suo motu of some sports spoilers in Afghanistan will not affect its support for the peace and stability of the war-torn country. Dr. Moid Yusuf's remarks come after a tweet by Afghan Vice President Amrullah Saleh, who shared a picture of the surrender of Pakistani troops to India after the 1971 war, captioned it as "Pakistan will not be able to heal its trauma through Taliban and terrorism."
