KERALA: Palakkad is gearing up for a thought-provoking three-day conference that delves into the profound teachings encapsulated in Pope Saint John Paul II's "Theology of the Body." This theological discourse, crafted by the revered pontiff, seeks to address misconceptions surrounding the human body, sexuality, and moral dilemmas propagated by a secular culture that often disregards religious perspectives. Aptly named 'Kadosh,' this enlightening event is jointly organized by the Palakkad Diocese KCYM, the Jesus Youth movement, and the TOB team. The conference is scheduled to commence at 6 pm on September 21st at Mundur Yuvakshetra College, under the auspices of the Palakkad Diocese, and will conclude at 4 pm on September 24th. Primarily targeting young adults above the age of 18, the conference's inauguration will be officiated by Palakkad Diocesan Mar Peter Kochupurakkal.

The conference seeks to tackle fundamental questions that often occupy the minds of youth: Who am I? Who is God? Why should I believe in God? Why did God create me as male and female? What do sex and gender entail? How does one navigate the complexities of Gender Identity Crisis? What is the true essence of marriage, and what purpose does it serve in my life? Attendees can expect to find clear and insightful answers to these questions during the event.

Pope John Paul II's "Theology of the Body," presented through a series of weekly sermons from 1979 to 1984, is a compilation of 129 discourses. These encompass 14 sermons dedicated to moral considerations and a substantial 115 sermons exploring the deeper 'whys' behind the 'whats' of human existence. This remarkable body of work also represents a journey into sacred scripture-based studies aimed at unraveling the profound mysteries of the human body.

The conference will be presided over by Babu John, the founder and president of TOB FOR LIFE. Babu John, a prominent international speaker on the theology of the body, has answered the call of the Holy Spirit and operates with the endorsement of Catholic Church authorities. Organizers extend a warm invitation to all young individuals seeking fresh insights into contemporary life, faith, relationships, and the world at large. This conference promises to be an intellectually stimulating and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees.
