Chennai: AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palanisamy was the handpicked leader of VK Sasikala Natarajan for AIAMDMK faction and now he is the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. 

Palanisamy was supported by 124 MLAs of the party, to hold the position of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, after the imprisonment of Sasikala. Natarajan was having a dream to be the chief minister of state, however, she didn't fail in her aim as Sasikala's faction is the present government of Tamil Nadu.

Palanisamy have taken the oath in the Raj Bhawan along with his 30 MLAs, and now he is the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
