Congress MLA Jayatirth Dahiya has resigned from the Haryana Assembly a day before the Monsoon session. He said he was unhappy with the behaviour of the party's state president Ashok Tanwar. He has accused Tanwar of abusing him after a meeting in Delhi.Sonipat's Rai Vidhan Sabha MLA Dahiya said he was hurt by the abuses given by state President Dr. Ashok Tanwar after a meeting of the Haryana Congress Coordination Committee in New Delhi on June 4. When the high command did not take any action against the state president despite his complaint, he is resigning.

According to media reports, a final decision is also to be taken on a petition in the High Court against Jayatirth Dahiya, which is believed to have made a decision against him, so he is believed to have resigned as part of a politically strategy. Dahiya Rai won the election by a margin of just three votes from the assembly constituency. Inelo candidate Inderjit Singh Dahiya, who lost by a margin of three votes, had challenged Jayatirth Dahiya's victory. A sealed report of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and all election records in the case has been submitted to the High Court. The case has been going on in the High Court since 2014. With the term of the current Assembly coming to an end in October, the High Court's decision is all eyes on it.

For your information, Jayatirth Dahiya is a close MLA from former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda. On several occasions, he was the president of the Haryana Congress. Ashoka has been opening a front against Tanwar. In the last meeting, there was a debate between Tanwar and Dahiya. Dahiya had vowed not to take off his hat until Huda becomes CM again.
