BANGALORE: On Friday, the police control room of Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru got a fake bomb threat call from an unnamed person. On Friday morning, security officers and local police responded to a bomb threat at Kempegowda International Airport.

At the airport, CISF troops with dog squads and local police conducted searches. At the scene, the bomb disposal unit was also present. "An unknown person called the airport police control room and made a bogus bomb threat. At the airport, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and police performed a thorough investigation till 7 a.m "According to airport officials.

According to the police, around 3 a.m., an anonymous guy called the police control centre, and the problem was then transferred to the airport police, who searched for two hours with the bomb-disposal squad but discovered nothing.
"We received information about a bomb and the CISF is thoroughly inspecting the international airport," said Anoop Shetty, Deputy Commissioner of Police of Bengaluru's Northeast Division.  More information regarding the situation is awaited.
