On Friday, May 22, 2020, a very terrible accident occurred in Pakistan due to which an atmosphere of chaos was created in the people. A PIA plane going from Lahore to Karachi crashed near Karachi airport. News agency AFP quoted the Ministry of Health as saying that 97 people have died in this plane crash. Two people survived the accident. At the time of the accident, 99 people (91 passengers and 8 crew members) were in the plane.

According to the information, the PIA's Airbus A320, which flew from Lahore, crashed near the model colony near Gate No. 2 in Malir Cantt, a minute before landing at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. Many houses in the area were damaged and considerable damage is also estimated. The aircraft, which has been standing for 50 days, was expensive to fly directly without doing fitness test for the flight, in the densely populated area, there were reports of several houses being razed and dozens of people died in the residential area.

After the accident, emergency has been declared in all major hospitals of Karachi by the Health Ministry and security forces, ambulances, fire brigade and emergency services are also present at the scene. The pilot of this PIA aircraft PK 8303 was named Sajjad Gul, it also had one pilot and three air hostesses.
