Recently he has shared an interesting anecdote related to his struggle on social media. Pankaj narrated this story on his Facebook page. During this time he said, "I had come to Mumbai with my wife and started struggling in Bollywood. During that time there were no casting directors and there was no professional atmosphere to cast actors. We had to depend on the assistant directors and the people associated with the unit of the same film." He further said, "In that era neither I had work nor my wife had job. So I started going for auditions without losing time and my wife also used to go to schools to find a job despite having no vacancy. Since all the actors used to come to the production house, it was not easy to go here and I started saying in these production houses that I have been sent by Ishwar ji after which my entry used to go."
