New Delhi: Former Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan has praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. It has been said on his behalf that Rahul Gandhi is not Pappu. The assumption made about him is completely wrong. He has even said that Rahul has a lot of knowledge on many issues.

Raghuram Rajan said that this is very unfortunate. I have spent a whole decade discussing many issues with Rahul. He is not Pappu at all. He is a very smart, young, and inquisitive person. You should know what is the priority. There are many risks. I think Rahul Gandhi is fully aware of all this. Now, on one hand, Rajan praised Rahul Gandhi, on the other hand, he insisted that he is not going to associate with any political party. Regarding this, he said that I had participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra because I believed in the principles of that Yatra. I was standing with him. I am not going to enter politics.

Nowadays it has been seen that Rajan has been speaking against the Modi government for a long time. Comment harshly on his every policy. When he was asked about these allegations, he clearly said that even during the Manmohan Singh government, he had stood against the government on many issues. Let us tell you that Raghuram Rajan participated in Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra some time back. At that time, Rahul Gandhi interviewed Rajan. Economic issues were discussed on his behalf. At that time Raghuram Rajan had said that 2023 is going to be more challenging for India. He said that this year also the world was troubled financially due to war and other reasons, but the next year is going to be even more difficult. Giving his opinion on India's economy, Raghuram Rajan said that the economies of India and the world failed to prepare the reforms that were necessary for development. On the concentration of capital in the hands of a few rich, Raghuram Rajan explained to Rahul that we cannot be against capitalism but we have to fight to compete. We can be against the monopoly on the market. Small business and big business are good for the country but monopoly is not good for the country.
