New Delhi: The new CEO of NITI Aayog has been announced by the Central Government. Parameswaran Iyer will be the new CEO of NITI Aayog. Actually, on June 30, the tenure of Amitabh Kant is ending. Since then Parameswaran is going to take the responsibility of this post. His term will be of two years. Let us tell you that in the year 2016, Amitabh Kant was made the CEO of NITI Aayog.

After this, his tenure was extended thrice and now it is going to end on June 30. Talking about Iyer, he was born in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. He is a 1981 batch IAS officer from Uttar Pradesh. He took voluntary retirement from the Indian Civil Service in the year 2009. After that he started working with the World Bank as a water resource manager. For a short time, he has also worked with the United Nations (UN) and given his services. In 2016, the Government of India also took the help of Parameswaran Iyer in the Swachh Bharat Mission. He played an active role in this campaign for a long time and gave his necessary suggestions. Later he also worked with the Ministry of Jal Shakti.

It becomes necessary to know here that NITI Aayog plays an active role in fulfilling all the plans of the Modi government. It was constituted by the Union Cabinet on 1 January 2015. Its main objective is that it gives directional and policy inputs to the Government of India from time to time. Important suggestions are also given by NITI Aayog to the Government of India on economic and social issues.
