Will the entire 'monsoon session' be ruined in the uproar of the opposition?

New Delhi: The second week of the monsoon session of Parliament has begun. Except for a few hours in the first week, no business could be done in both the Houses. There was only a 2-hour debate on corona in the Rajya Sabha. The opposition's attitude has raised the question of whether the entire monsoon session will be ruined due to the uproar. Congress Chief Whip Jairam Ramesh had tweeted in the Rajya Sabha on Monday in this regard.

He had placed a kind of condition for running Parliament in his tweet. In his tweet, Ramesh had said, 'The whole opposition is united. In the absence of the PM or the Home Minister, there should be a debate on the Pegasus espionage scandal. An inquiry should be announced under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Parliament is not running because the government is not accepting these legitimate demands.' Reacting to Ramesh's tweet, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Derek O'Brien wrote in the Rajya Sabha, 'This is what we need, not green tea, thank you, but not thanks' to Piyush Goyal.' Tell you that both these tweets are not difficult to understand the attitude of the opposition. TMC seems to be the most aggressive in protest over the espionage scandal. In a meeting of the party's parliamentary party held on Monday, it was decided that the House would not be allowed to function unless PM Modi made a statement in the House on the issue.

On the other hand, the government says it wants to talk to the opposition and find a solution to run Parliament. On Friday last week, Leader of the House Piyush Goyal had invited all opposition leaders to discuss tea in the Rajya Sabha, but the meeting was not attended by the Congress and TMC. Piyush Goyal on Monday once again called the opposition leaders for talks but things could not proceed. The uproar in Parliament continues today on Tuesday. The Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 12:00 pm due to opposition uproar. It is clear that the Opposition is trying to throw out the entire monsoon session in an uproar. The winter session of Parliament will begin in November-December, if there is no business in the current session, all important bills and ordinances will be postponed for a long time.
