New Delhi: The monsoon session of Parliament will begin on July 19 and continue till August 13 amid the global epidemic Corona virus. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has informed that there will be 19 working days during this period. Usually the monsoon session of Parliament begins in the third week of July and concludes before Independence Day.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that we have held three sessions during the Corona crisis. More MPs than usual were present in each session. The MPs also sat late into the night and worked. There will be a 24-hour RTPCR test facility. Most members have been vaccinated. 311 MPs have taken both doses. On the other hand, 23 MPs have not been able to get the vaccine due to corona. On July 18, all floor leaders of the House will meet to brainstorm on the run of the session. The issues of MPs raised under 377 are going to get answers within a month. The new cabinet formation has left vacancies in many committees. They will be restructured.

State that the government has outlined major bills for passage during the session. These include a bill to designate major airports, a proposed law for the welfare of parents and senior citizens, empowering the child protection system and setting up an interstate river water dispute prevention committee.
