Oppn MPs continue to raise slogans in LS demanding justice for farmers; RS adjourned till 2 pm

New Delhi: Today is the sixth day of the winter session. The BJP Parliamentary Party met in Delhi before the proceedings began. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is said to have attended the meeting and was attended by several senior leaders including the Home Minister, party president. The House is said to be in a fix today over the Nagaland issue. On the other hand, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has given a notice of adjournment motion for discussion on compensation to the families of farmers who lost their lives in the farmers' agitation.

Let me tell all of you that Rahul Gandhi will demand compensation for the martyrdom of farmers in the House today. He will also place a list of dead farmers before the Government. The Rajya Sabha is said to have been adjourned due to uproar by opposition MPs as soon as it began. The House has been adjourned till 2 pm under the information received. On the other hand, the Lok Sabha is in the process of proceedings though opposition slogans are continuing there as well.

Talking about the party's parliamentary party meeting, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said, "We have elaborated today on why 12 Rajya Sabha MPs have been suspended. Whatever has happened has been seen by the country, it is those who have posted the entire video on their social media. Everything is on record. If they still ask for pardon, we will withdraw the suspension. On the other hand, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has given an adjournment motion notice in the Lok Sabha on the issue of compensation to farmers killed during the farmers' agitation over three agricultural laws.
