Mumbai: A huge consignment of deadly weapons has been recovered in Malegaon, Maharashtra. In this connection, the Maharashtra Police has arrested a person named Parvez Alam. Police have informed that Parvez was traveling in a bus coming from Ajmer with these weapons, and an investigation is currently underway. According to reports, the police seized the consignment of deadly weapons being brought from Ajmer to Malegaon before entering the city.  

According to the information, Pawarwadi police checked the bus coming from Ajmer by setting up a Naka on the Mumbai-Agra highway. During this time, a cache of weapons was recovered from the bus. Police seized the weapons and arrested 29-year-old Parvez Alam. A case has been registered against the accused Parvez and he is being interrogated. According to reports, Parvez is a resident of Rasoolpura in Malegaon. Superintendent of Police (SP) Aniket Bharti has said that on January 10, 2023, on the basis of a tip-off, Pawarwadi police took this action.

In fact, Pawarwadi police station had received information that a consignment of deadly weapons was being brought from Ajmer to Malegaon. As soon as the information was received, Inspector Sudhir Patil along with his team blocked the Mumbai-Agra highway. As soon as the travel bus going from Ajmer to Nashik reached Malde Shivar, the police stopped it for checking. During this time, 31 types of sharp weapons including 8 swords, 8 gloves, and ten large knives were found in a bag.  

By seizing the weapons, the police are now trying to find out where these weapons were being transported in Malegaon. The value of the seized weapons is estimated to be around Rs 17,400. According to the report, several arms and ammunition have been seized from communally sensitive areas of Maharashtra such as Nanded, Aurangabad, and Jalgaon in the last few months.
