Jammu: In a major incident, a train derailed near Majhama in Central Kashmir's Budgam district on Friday morning. However, all passengers are safe. No casualty was reported in the accident on the Baramulla-Banihal section, the report said. The incident created an atmosphere of commotion among the passengers.

Officials said that the incident took place on Friday morning amid snowfall. The cause of the accident is being ascertained. There may also be some kind of technical glitch. Apart from this, slippery due to snowfall can also cause this. No passenger was injured in the incident, the administrative officer said.

Train services between Budgam and Baramulla have been suspended following the accident. Efforts are on to restore them. The service from Banihal to Srinagar continues. After getting information about the accident, a railway team reached the spot.  The reason for the derailment of the train is being ascertained. There has been no impact on that. This is not the first time, many such incidents have been reported before.
