Legend Airlines flight was detained in France for 4 days on the basis of suspicion of human trafficking. The plane reached Mumbai on Tuesday with 276 passengers. In this case, the lawyer of Legend Airlines has said that the passengers who had paid for Nicaragua, did not want to return. The airline company's lawyer has said that despite appealing for help from the Central American country Nicaragua and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), they were disappointed. At the time of crisis, only India was ready to help.

This plane, which reached Mumbai early on Tuesday, is also being described as a 'dinky' flight. Reports say that Legend Airlines lawyer Liliana Bakayoko said, some passengers did not want to return to India because these people had already paid to go to Nicaragua as tourists. The operators of the flight that departed from UAE on December 22 have denied involvement in the criminal act of 'human trafficking'. The company said some passengers also had return tickets and proof of hotel reservations.

Passengers had gone from these states of India, 25 sought asylum in France:  According to the statement issued by the airlines, a total of 303 passengers were on board the Donkey flight. After the plane was stopped in France, 25 people including two minors sought asylum in France. French authorities detained two people on charges of alleged illegal immigration. 25 people were evacuated to a special area at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. Of the 276 people who returned to India, nearly two-thirds are from Punjab. 25 percent of the passengers were from Gujarat, while the rest were going to Nicaragua from different states.

Why did the plane leave UAE or Nicaragua and return to India?: Reports say that according to a report attached to the statement of Liliana Bakayoko, lawyer of the aviation company Legend Airlines, the Nicaraguan authorities did not approve the passengers. UAE has also refused help. The lawyer has said, after the plane was stopped in France, India was the only country that took the initiative to not allow the stranded passengers to remain stranded for a long time. India expressed willingness to take prompt action.

The lawyer has said that a non-European company had booked the flight. Which country's company is it? On this question he said, he is not going to disclose whether the company is Indian or not. Reports say most of the travelers had arrived in Dubai in the last two months on work or tourist visas. From there boarded a flight to Nicaragua.

Age group of passengers:  Passengers detained on charges of allegedly aiding human trafficking were released after appearing before a judge. Another report also said that about 150 passengers were around 20 years of age. About 70 passengers were in their 30s. The remaining around 80 passengers belonged to different age groups. En route to Nicaragua, the plane stopped at Vatry Airport in France to refuel. The plane was stopped by the police at an unknown tipping point.
