The businessman and yoga Guru Baba Ramdev is all set to announce the Initial Public Offering (IPO) plans for five Patanjali group companies in the next five years, in a press conference on Friday.

This disclosure was made in a press release that Ramdev's Twitter representative posted.

Ramdev will speak at a significant press conference on September 16 in New Delhi, according to the press invitation. The event would ".. brief about 5 new IPOs in the next 5 years of 5 of Group firms," it said.

The press release further stated that the purpose of the press conference is to "... describe Patanjali Group's Vision and Mission 2027 and narrate 5 important priorities & targets for next 5 years towards group's commitment to make India self-reliant."

It's important to note that, of the firms in the Patanjali group, Patanjali Foods is now the only one that is publicly traded. However, the yoga guru did not oversee the IPO of Patanjali Foods, formerly known as Ruchi Soya. Patanjali Ayurved purchased Ruchi Soya in 2019 for Rs. 4,350 crore through a settlement procedure. Later, the business was renamed Patanjali Foods.

The yoga Guru made an interesting prediction that Patanjali Ayurved, Patanjali Lifestyle, Patanjali Wellness, and Patanjali Medicine would all be listed on the stock exchange over the next five years in an interview with Zee Business.

The press note shared by the spokesperson also took a dig at "rumour mongers who circulate fake facts and numbers" about the group companies in the news release.. The meeting would "... reveal plots and efforts of rumor-mongers who distribute fake facts & numbers with vested motive to denigrate Patanjali and its Swadeshi Movement in the path of a stronger and healthier India."
