Gal Gadot will return to her role as Wonder Woman in a third film, which was announced by director Patty Jenkins during the DC Fandome 2021 event on Saturday, October 16. During a discussion with former Wonder Woman from the 1970s series, Lynda Carter, Jenkins gave an update on the film's progress and promised it will be exciting.

During the DC event, Jenkins, who directed the first two Wonder Woman films, spoke about what the character meant to her and other topics. She did, however, mention the next Wonder Woman film in a big update, saying, "We're extremely thrilled about Wonder Woman 3."

Jenkins went on to say, "Additionally, "Gal, who is so disappointed not to be here because she is the busiest person on the planet, with three little children and filming, was so disappointed not to be able to be here. But we're all really thrilled, all three of us, about some amazing things that are coming up with Wonder Woman 3."

Gadot and her husband Yaron Varsano had their third child in June. Alma, 9, and Maya, 4, are the couple's two kids. As for Wonder Woman 3, Jenkins had previously hinted that the film won't be set in the past. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she stated that the next film in the franchise will be a modern narrative without revealing where it will be set. While the third instalment has officially been confirmed, no release date or other information has been released.
