Paytm, a provider of digital payment services will now charge an additional 2% for adding money to a wallet with a credit card. Earlier, if a user used to add more than 10 thousand rupees to its wallet with a credit card in a month, then only 2% fee was to be paid.
This decision of the company has shocked the customers who normally used to pay by adding a credit card instead of a bank account. After adding the amount from the credit card to the Paytm wallet, the consumer is getting a message that for this service they will have to pay a nominal fee of 2%
According to the Paytm consumer, this message is being displayed in front of them by adding money from the credit card to the wallet. A nominal fee of 2% is payable on adding rupees to a credit card. When you add an amount with a credit card, you have to pay more to your bank or payment network, which is why a nominal fee is being charged. Use UPI or debit card to add money without any fees.
