Digital payments application Paytm has added a new feature which will help in making last-minute movie ticket cancellations easier.

The feature allows users to cancel their booked movie tickets until three hours ahead of the scheduled show time, with a cancellation charge of Rs 9 per ticket and rest of the amount will be refunded to the users. Although this feature can be seen on its website but is still not available on the app.

Paytm has started the movie ticket booking facility in April last year, cracking the BookMyShow's monopoly over the business.Last time this year, the company disclosed that its movie ticketing business crossed a gross merchandise value (GMV) of about Rs 400 crore.

Paytm has a partnership with multiplex chains including PVR, Inox, Carnival, and Cinepolis and still increasing.

However, Bookmyshow doesn't offer any refund on cancellations so this is an advantage for the customers of Paytm which is likely to grow.
