Lahore: The Pakistan team has been rocked by a stir after being out before the semi-finals of the World Cup 2019 in Britain. Pakistan team chief selector Inzamam ul Haq has also resigned from his post. Pakistan team head coach Mickey Arthur will continue in his post, but Pakistan is going to get a new captain in Test cricket.

Mickey Arthur will continue as head coach with the team until the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in the coming year. The PCB cricket committee is scheduled to hold a World Cup review meeting in Lahore where coach Mickey Arthur will also be present, in which he is expected to command the team again. According to sources, the Pakistani newspaper said that with the end of the World Cup, discussions had begun on the Head Coach of the Pak team, other coaching staff, the new selection committee, and the Captain.

Meanwhile, the PCB judged Mickey Arthur's performance and found that Pak's team had defeated India in the final at the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as Arthur's coach. Additionally, the team is at number one in the T20. That's why Mickey Arthur will continue to be the team's head coach for the next one-and-a-half years. The PCB has made up its mind about the Split Company.

Azhar is likely to be the captain of Pakistan's Test team. Sarfraz Ahmed will continue to be the captain of the team in ODIs and T20s. Azhar was removed from the post of Captain of the Test team when Pakistan won the Champions Trophy under Sarfraz Ahmed's captaincy. Reports also mention that Babar Azam will be appointed deputy captain in all three formats before handing over the captaincy in future.
