Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB will soon announce its annual contracted player's list. Meanwhile, the PCB has decided that after defeating India in the year 2017, Pakistan will demote the captain Sarfraz Ahmed, who won the Champions Trophy. This means that Sarfaraz Ahmed can either be excluded from the central contract or he can be removed from the A category and put in another category.

Pakistan Cricket Board will release the list of Central Contract Players in August, in which Sarfaraz Ahmed will be categorized from A category to C category. Not only this, the board has made up its mind to reduce the amount of the players' agreement and also the match fees, because the coronavirus epidemic has also affected Pakistan cricket. Due to Corona, the players are going to lose millions of rupees.

The PCB released a list of Central Contract Players in August last year, which included 19 players. Pakistan's all-rounders Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik were not named in that list. Earlier, the board used to sign contracts with 32 players for one year, but since last year only 19 players are included in the annual contract list.

Talking about last year, Sarfraz Ahmed, along with Babur Azam and Yasir Shah was in the A category. Sarfaraz was the captain of all three formats of Pakistan, but now the Pakistan team selectors have removed Sarfaraz from the team in all three formats. The PCB source has said that Sarfaraz has been put from A category to C category in the new contract. This new list has been prepared by Pakistan Cricket Board CEO Wasim Khan, Director of International Cricket Operations Zakir Khan and Head Coach as well as Chief Selector, Misbah-ul-Haq.
