New Delhi: Biological E. Ltd (BE) Corona vaccine Corbewax can now be used as a booster dose of Corona. According to official sources, people above 18 years of age, who have taken both doses of Covaccine or Covishield, will be administered this vaccine as a booster dose. Permission has been obtained from the Government of India for this. 

It was earlier approved by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) for the use of Corbewax in emergency situations. The DCGI approved the use of Corbewax as a booster dose in emergency situations for people 18 years of age and older who have received both doses of Covaccine.

Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical and vaccine company Biological E. Ltd said that BE's Corbewax is the first vaccine manufactured in India, which has been approved as a Corona booster under extreme conditions. Biological e. Ltd. Managing Director Mahima Datla said that this decision of DCGI will reduce the booster dose of Corona in India. With this, we have crossed another milestone in our corona vaccination. According to reports, BE has provided 100 million booster doses of Corbewax to the Government of India. CORBEVAX is completely developed by Biologicals E Ltd with the support of Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine.
