People for Dussehra celebrations have been overlooked by the social distance and face mask. On Sunday, people came to participate in the Dussehra festival celebrations in various parts of the purva Adilabad.

In Adilabad district, people from different parts of the country join the celebration. Followers of Hinduism dressed in best costume and gathered at the special venues of the festival and saw the ritual 'Ravana Dahan'. As part of this affair, the wooden statue of Ravan is burnt by "Ravan Dahan". After they offered special prayers to the plant, they exchanged greetings on this occasion by giving the leaves of the Jammy tree (Prosopis sinaria).

Many officials are also participating in the ceremony. Adilabad MLA Jogu Ramanna, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Rathore Janardhan, Collector Sikta Patnaik and Police Superintendent Vishnu S Warrior participated in the ceremony at the Adilabad district headquarters.
