The information of a horrific road accident has come to the fore in Peshawar, North-Western Pakistan. A bus and a car collided here on Tuesday. After which at least 30 people lost their lives when the bus fell into a deep gorge. At the same time, 15 people have been injured in this terrible road accident. This is the second such fatal accident in less than a week.

According to news agency PTI, the accident took place near Shatial Chowk in Diamir area of ​​Gilgit Baltistan area. According to the local police, the bus was going from Gilgit to Rawalpindi. That's when it had a head-on collision with a car coming from the opposite direction from the Shatial area. After which both the vehicles fell into a deep gorge. After getting the information, police and rescue officials reached the spot and the injured and dead bodies were taken to RHC Hospital.

Police officials said that the rescuers had to face difficulty in the relief and rescue work due to the darkness. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also expressed grief over the death of people in this accident. According to the official 'Radio Pakistan', Prime Minister Sharif expressed condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for peace of the souls of the dead. He has also issued instructions to the officials to ensure proper treatment of the injured. President Arif Alvi has also condoled the death of people in the accident.

It may be known that on Friday, 17 people lost their lives in a head-on collision between a bus and a speeding truck near a tunnel in the Kohat district of North West Pakistan. On the other hand, on January 29, another fatal accident took place in southern Pakistan. When a bus collided with a pole and fell off a bridge, 40 people died. Fatal accidents are common in Pakistan due to poor road infrastructure and disregard for traffic laws.
