Rivers are given the status of mother in our India but today they are becoming very dirty. There are many people who work hard to keep the rivers clean. These include Chandra Kishore Patil, a resident of Nashik. He lives in Indiranagar, Nashik and has taken up the task of keeping the 'Godavari River' clear. He is working hard to keep this river in their area clean.

He stands on a bridge on the main road from 11 am to 9 pm everyday to keep the river clear so that people can be prevented from throwing garbage in the river. His story has been shared by IFS officer Shweta Boddu on her Twitter account. Sharing a picture of Chandra Kishore Patil, he wrote, 'I saw this young man whistling all day and stopping those who threw the garbage in Godavari river in Nashik. Salute to Mr. Patil! '

Chandra Kishore Patil is a young man who is not only working to stop people from throwing garbage in the Godavari river of Nashik, but he collects garbage bags from people and disposes it at the right place. In the morning, teenagers stand with a whistle on the banks of the river and stop people from throwing garbage in the river. Talking to a website, Kishore says, 'I live in a society close to the Godavari river. During the festive season, the water becomes extremely dirty as people throw excessive amount of garbage into the river. The environment also becomes very bad due to the smell of waste. I have been trying to stop people from throwing garbage in the river for the last 5 years. I will continue this till my health supports me. '
