Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has demanded mid-term elections in the state. Not only this, he said, the decision of the Supreme Court on July 11 will not only decide the future of Shiv Sena but also Indian democracy.

Actually, a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of Shiv Sena. In this, the decision of the Governor to invite Shinde to form the government has been challenged. In this, the process of election of speaker and trust vote has also been described as wrong. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear this petition on July 11. Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray said in a press conference on Friday that assembly elections should be held in Maharashtra. He said, let elections be held in the state today, let's see what people think that who is wrong or who is right? However, due to this, Uddhav Thackeray refused to answer the questions. The former Chief Minister said, there is also a dispute regarding the bow and arrow, the election symbol of Shiv Sena. I want to tell every Shiv Sainik that no one can take it. It is being said that our mark is gone. It's not like this. No one can take our symbol from us.

With this, Uddhav said, there are reports that Shiv Sainiks are leaving Shiv Sena. But these people leaving the party are not Shiv Sainiks. Shiv Sainiks are with us. We promoted ordinary people and made them big. But now those who have become elders left the party. Which persons supported these people to become big, they did not leave Shiv Sena, they are also with us. Uddhav Thackeray said about the rebel MLAs, that people have been leaving before. Even if there is 1 person left or 50 people left, the party will remain. The party is not made up of only these representatives. Party workers are with us. We will emerge stronger again. He said we want to say thank you to those MLAs who are with us. They got threats, and even after that they are with us. I have faith in the judiciary. We look forward to hearing on July 11. Whatever happens in court, The whole country will see the future of democracy. I'm not worried. Justice will be done.
