New Delhi: Saturday lunch was not a cause of concern for the protesters who were opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act, who reached Jamia early in the morning. Biryani was made for these protesters in nearby Jamia Nagar. By midday, both veg and non-veg varieties of biryani were served through vehicles outside the Jamia University campus.

Thousands of drinking water pouches were also transported here along with Biryani. This process went on not only on Saturday but also after Friday prayers. In fact, thousands of children, women, students, elderly and young reached outside the campus of Jamia after the prayers. The flock of protesters was spread over a kilometer on both sides of the road.
