PepsiCo to invest Rs 700 crore in Yogi's 'Gorakhpur', seeks 50 acres of land

Gorakhpur: PepsiCo, a multinational company that holds a special place among customers with its products in the world, is set to invest around Rs 700 crore in the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) region. PepsiCo has sought 50 acres of land to set up a bottling plant, ice cream and chips manufacturing unit. A detailed report has also been given by the company. The Gida administration has been engaged in efforts to provide land.

The impact of improving infrastructure along with law and order after Yogi Adityanath became CM is visible in GIDA. Recently, an investment proposal of more than 2800 crore was agreed in the groundbreaking ceremony. Gida's good performance on ease of doing for land availability is also attracting multinational companies. In this episode, a few days ago, the PepsiCo team came to Gorakhpur and visited GIDA area.  

In the proposal made by the company, it has been clearly stated that the establishment of the unit will provide direct employment to more than 1000 people. More than 2000 people will get employment indirectly. Along with this, Asian Paints and some other companies are also exploring the possibility of investing in Uttar Pradesh.
