Perfect start for Saturday 'Chana Masala Toast Sandwich'

Make you Saturday more enjoyable by making and eating 'Chana Masala Toast Sandwich' 

INGREDIENTS YOU NEED:

  •  6-8 slices of brown or white or whole wheat bread
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup leftover chana masala or chickpea curry.
  • Thinly sliced 1-2 medium size onions.
  • Thinly sliced 1-2 medium size tomatoes.
  • Thinly sliced 1 small to medium green bell pepper/capsicum.
  • Chaat masala powder 1 tablespoon.
  • Roasted cumin powder 1 tablespoon.
  • Black salt as required.
  • Butter or olive oil for spreading on the bread slices.
  • Grated or thinly sliced cheddar or mozarella cheese as required (optional).

METHODS:

  1. Firstly take a fresh bread and trim the edges of the bread if you want.
  2. Now spread the butter or olive oil on all the slices.
  3. Now sprinkle 1-2 tablespoon of chana masala on it and top with 2-3 slices of tomato, capsicum and onion.
  4. Now sprinkle some salt, chaat masala and roasted cumin powder on the bread.
  5. You can also top the bread with grated cheese.
  6. Now cover this slice with another slice on it.
  7. Now toast the sandwich in a grill, tawa or sandwich maker.
  8. Toast both the sides till they become golden and crispy.
  9. You can also spread some more butter or olive oil on sandwich if you want.
  10. Then serve the chana masala toast sandwich with tomato sauce and green chutney.
