Chennai: A personnel of police allegedly committed suicide on Sunday night. The officer of police force 4th Battalion hunged himself from a tree inside the Battalion campus. The body has been sent for postmortem. The reason for suicide is still unknown. The body of the officer was found hanging inside the Battalion campus.
The cases of suicide of police force are increasing considerably. The report of Union Home Ministry revealed that In the last six years nearly 700 personnel of police force committed suicide. This report also revealed the reasons behind the suicide of the armed police forces. These reasons include loneliness, lack of stability and domestic strife.
In last month, a report came which depicted that the capital of India is in the worse condition. over 40 Delhi Police personnel committed suicide in last five years. This enhancement in the number of the suicide of personnel of the police force is a big problem for India.

It is very important for the Government to analyse the reasons behind the enhancing number of the suicide of police personnel and should develop effective strategies to overcome the issue. It is the responsibility of the government to focus on this issue to protect the life of the protectors of others.
