Petition seeking extension of lockdown in Delhi dismissed by High Court

New Delhi: In view of the increasing cases of corona infection in Delhi, the capital of the country, the public interest litigation was filed in the Delhi High Court to increase the lockdown, which has been rejected by the court. The petition sought to carry extend the lockdown in Delhi by 30 June.

The petition sought to direct the Delhi government to consider setting up an expert committee of physicians, medical experts and epidemiologists to prepare a detailed plan for controlling the infection. The petitioners have urged the enforcement of the lockdown stating that the rate of increase in cases of infection during the previously implemented lockdown was low.

Satyendra Jain has also stopped the talk of increasing the lockdown in Delhi amid Corona crisis. He said that the lockdown in Delhi is not going to increase. A record 1877 infection cases were recorded in Delhi on Thursday and 65 people died. The total number of people infected here at this time is 34,687. The number of active cases is 20871. 12731 people in Delhi have recovered from beating Corona.
