New Delhi: On Saturday, February 16, 2019, Petrol and diesel prices surged for the third consecutive day in all four metro cities New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and other major cities of National Capital Region (NCR), Gurugram and Noida. Petrol prices in New Delhi on Saturday, February 16, 2019, jumped by 14 paise to Rs 70.60 per litre from Rs 70.46 a litre on Friday, February 15, 2019, petrol prices in Mumbai went up by 13 paise to Rs 76.23 per litre on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from Rs 76.10 a litre on Friday, February 15, 2019.

Here to be known the metro cities prices are as  Petrol in other Kolkata and Chennai became costlier by 14 paise each to Rs 72.71 per litre and Rs 73.28 per litre on Saturday, February 16, 2019, respectively. Petrol prices in Kolkata and Chennai were at Rs 72.57 and Rs 73.14 per litre on Friday, February 15, 2019. Petrol prices in Gurugram (Gurgaon) and Noida also went by 9 paise and 11 paise to Rs 71.30 and Rs 70.35 per litre on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Petrol was retailing at Rs 71.21 and Rs 70.24 per litre in Gurugram and Noida on Friday, February 16, 2019. A similar rise was seen across the metro cities in the diesel prices. Diesel prices in New Delhi shot up by 13 paise to Rs 65.86 per litre on Saturday, February 16, 2019, from Rs 65.73 per litre on Friday, February 15, 2019. Diesel prices in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai soared by 14 paise, 13 paise and 13 paise on Saturday, February 16, 2019, to Rs 69.97, Rs 67.64 and Rs 69.57 per litre, respectively. Earlier yesterday, diesel was retailing at Rs 68.83, Rs 67.51 and Rs 69.44 per litre in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, respectively.

Diesel prices in Noida went up by 19 paise to Rs 65.03 on Saturday, February 16, 2019, from Rs 64.83 per litre on Friday, February 15, 2019 while diesel prices in Gurugram reduced by 8 paise to Rs 65.30 per litre on Saturday, February 16, 2019, from Rs 65.38 on Friday, February 15, 2019.
