Now today i.e. Friday morning WTI crude was seen at $72.08 per barrel. At the same time, Brent crude fell to $76.15 per barrel. After May 22, 2022, no change was seen in the rate of petrol and diesel in the market. Let us tell you that this is the first time when the prices of petrol and diesel have remained at the same level for more than six and a half months. In May 2022, excise duty was reduced by the central government.

On the other hand, due to the cut in excise duty, there was a big drop in petrol and diesel across the country only once. Due to this, petrol became cheaper by Rs. 8 and diesel by Rs. 5 per liter. After this, people were given relief by reducing VAT in some states. Currently, petrol in Delhi is priced at Rs 96.72, and diesel at Rs 89.62 per liter. In Mumbai, petrol is priced at Rs 111.35, and diesel at Rs 97.28 per liter.

With this, petrol in Chennai is Rs 102.63 and diesel is Rs 94.24 per liter. On the other hand, petrol in Kolkata is costing Rs 106.03 and diesel is Rs 92.76 per liter and petrol in Noida is costing Rs 96.57 and diesel is Rs 89.96 per liter. Let us tell you that the country's main government oil companies have the right to decide the price of petrol and diesel on a daily basis. However, since there has been no change in the price for a long time, the prices have remained at the same level. Yes and if there is any change in the price of oil, it is implemented daily from 6 am.
