Crude oil prices are currently heading towards a weekly decline of around 12 percent, which will be the biggest decline in nearly four years. So far 2,700 people have died in China due to the coronavirus. In addition to China, the virus has been found in 46 other countries, where 57 people have died.
There has been a fear of a fall in global demand for crude oil due to the expansion of the Coronavirus, causing a steep fall in its prices. Along with this, diesel prices in India have fallen for the second consecutive day on Friday. At the same time, petrol is being sold at its old price. On Thursday, the price of petrol was reduced after remaining unchanged for three consecutive days, whereas in many big cities of the country today, the price of diesel has fallen by five to six paise. Petrol in Delhi has come down to the lowest level of the last five months at this time. It is selling today at its previous price of Rs 71.96 per liter and diesel is down by five paise at Rs 64.60 per liter. Talking about Kolkata, here too petrol is being sold at its old price of Rs 74.60 per liter and diesel is down by five paise to Rs 66.92 per liter.
Apart from this, in the case of Mumbai, petrol has come down to its old price of Rs 77.62 and diesel is down by six paise at Rs 67.69 per liter. Apart from this, petrol is also being sold in Chennai today at its old price of Rs 74.75 per liter and diesel is down by six paise to Rs 68.21 per liter. On the other hand, if you look at Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, here on Friday, petrol is being sold at Rs 75.76 per liter and diesel at Rs 69.52 per liter. Apart from this, if you talk about Noida, the city adjacent to the national capital, then petrol is available at Rs 73.88 per liter and diesel at Rs 64.93 per liter. Along with this, petrol is available in Gurugram at Rs 72.05 per liter and diesel at Rs 64.04 per liter.
