Mumbai: Petrol prices again saw an increase for the second consecutive day on Friday. Petrol in the national capital Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai has increased by 33 paise in two days, while Chennai has recorded an increase of 35 paise per liter. However, the price of diesel remained stable for the third consecutive day. Petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai increased by 18 paise on Friday, while in Chennai by 19 paise per liter, there was no change in the price of diesel.

According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai have reached Rs 73.63, Rs 76.33, Rs 79.30 and Rs 76.53 per liter respectively. However, diesel prices in all the four Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai are fixed at Rs 65.79, Rs 68.20, Rs 69.01 and Rs 69.54 per liter respectively.

The international futures market was trading at $ 62.58 a barrel in Brent crude's January delivery contract on the Intercontinental Exchange, up 0.48 percent on Friday.
