Petrol prices set to skyrocket across the country, know today's rate

Mumbai: Petrol prices have increased again on Friday. After 7 weeks in the country's financial capital Mumbai, petrol has started selling at a price higher than Rs 80. Petrol price has increased by 15-16 paise per liter in the four metros of Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. At the same time, there has been no change in the price of diesel. At the same time, the price of crude oil in the international market is almost at a two-month high.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai has increased to Rs 74.35, Rs 77.04, Rs 80.01 and Rs 77.29 per liter respectively. Diesel prices in the four metros are also stable at Rs 65.84, Rs 68.25, Rs 69.06 and Rs 69.59 per liter, respectively, without any change.

Oil marketing companies on Friday increased the prices of petrol by 15 paise per liter in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, while in Chennai by 16 paise per liter. Petrol price in Mumbai was Rs 80.11 per liter on October 3, 2019. In the international market, crude oil prices were trading moderately after a two-day rise, although the price is at a near two-month high. Benchmark Brent crude is priced above $ 63 a barrel.
