New Delhi: Petrol prices have reached one-year high due to increase in the price of crude oil in the global market. Petrol price in the national capital Delhi has gone up to Rs 74.66, the high level of petrol price in Delhi was on 25 November 2018 when petrol was being sold in the capital of the country at Rs 74.84 per liter. Oil marketing companies again increased petrol prices on Monday by 12 paise in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, while in Chennai by 13 paise per liter, although there was no change in the price of diesel.

Petrol prices have increased for the 4th consecutive day. Petrol in Delhi has become expensive by 46 paise per liter in these four days. According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai has increased to Rs 74.66, Rs 77.34, Rs 80.32 and Rs 77.62 per liter respectively. Earlier, the price of petrol in the four metros was Rs 74.84, Rs 76.82, Rs 80.38 and Rs 77.69 per liter respectively on 25 November 2018.

Diesel prices are stable at Rs 65.73, Rs 68.14, Rs 68.94 and Rs 69.47 per liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai respectively. The benchmark crude oil Brent crude on the International Market Intercontinental Exchange has gained nearly three dollars a barrel this month.
