Experts predict that the prices of petrol and diesel could be affected by the ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia and crude at the highest levels. Despite the steep increase in the prices of crude oil at the international level, the prices of petrol-diesel have not changed in the domestic market. According to the latest update by Indian Petroleum Marketing Company Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), petrol in the country's capital Delhi also stood at Rs 95.41 per litre while diesel stood at Rs 86.67 per litre on March 9, 2022. In early November last year, when the increase in petrol and diesel prices was halted, the average price of crude oil was $81.5 per barrel.
