Petrol and diesel prices rose for the sixth consecutive day on Sunday. According to a notification issued by public sector petroleum companies on Sunday morning, petrol prices were hiked by 30 paise per litre and diesel by 35 paise per litre. This has taken petrol and diesel prices to new heights in major cities of the country. With this increase, the price of petrol in Delhi touched Rs 104.14 per litre. The price of one litre of petrol in the city on Saturday was Rs 103.84 per litre. Similarly, the price of diesel increased from Rs 92.47 per litre to Rs 92.82 per litre.

Petrol price crosses Rs 110 in Mumbai:-
Petrol price rose from Rs 109.83 per litre to Rs 110.12 per litre in Mumbai, Maharashtra's capital. Similarly, the price of diesel touched Rs 100.66 per litre. In Kolkata, petrol price went up to Rs 104.80 per litre and diesel to Rs 95.93 per litre. Petrol price touched Rs 101.53 per litre and diesel at Rs 97.26 per litre in Tamil Nadu's capital Chennai.
