Inflation hitting common man again, price of Petrol-Diesel rose repeatedly

Petrol and diesel prices are at record levels across the country as crude oil prices boil in the international market. Indian oil companies have hiked petrol and diesel prices for the third consecutive day today (October 02, 2021). In the domestic market, state-run oil companies today (Saturday) have hiked diesel prices by up to 30 paise a litre, while petrol has become costlier by 25 paise a litre.

According to Indian Oil Corporation, petrol in the national capital Delhi has gone up to Rs 102.14 per litre after the latest hike in fuel prices from Rs 101.89 a litre on Friday. Similarly, diesel has reached Rs 90.47 per litre. Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Bihar, Bangas, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi-NCR and Punjab are the states in the country where petrol crosses Rs 100 per litre at most places. In many cities, petrol has crossed Rs 110 a litre. In terms of statistics, petrol is selling for the most expensive Madhya Pradesh (Rs 113.28 per litre in Sivani) and Rajasthan (Rs 113.01 per litre in Sriganganagar).
